Who Wants 350,000 Wordpress Blogs?

From a lot of web crawling and data mining, I have a database (flatfile) of over 350,000 WP blogs. I am NOT talking about 350,000 Wordpress blog URLs, (duplicate domains), a child could find that.

These are all unique domains in an unedited, uncensored database, (non-printable characters were replaced with a ‘#’ symbol during the data mining process), and you will be hard pressed to find this data anywhere else!

The format of the list is:

DOMAIN NAME
WORDPRESS VERSION
PAGE TITLE
META KEYWORDS
META DESCRIPTION
MOST RECENT PERMALINK
ADSENSE PUB ID

All on each one line, of course.
Delimited with a double pipe because the Keywords and Descriptions contain commas.

In plain text it is 113MB and compressed it is 38MB. HUGE!!!

What can be done with this?

.

How can this be a marketing tool?

.

1. A startup SEO consultant could possibly find new prospects by browsing for ineffective Titles, Keywords, and Descriptions. Contact them with your offer to research and improve. Tell them why they need to improved these onpage elements.

2. A Wordpress geek could search the versions and offer to update them to the latest version. This would give them lots of new features and all the security fixes.

3. Speaking of security fixes, if you are good with Wordpress you might find some of the older versions have been hacked or defaced and you could offer to help them. There are some VERY young versions on the list.

4. The domain names alone could be used just for commenting on blogs. Research them and spend some time getting quality backlinks.

5. Search Titles in order to find competitors.

6. Search Keywords in order to find new keywords for you own use.

7. Search Descriptions in order to find new ideas for your own onpage SEO.

8. You could also search for AdSense pub IDs. Why? If you are researching a site, it might have private whois information, but if it uses AdSense, all of the owners blogs will have the same pubID, so you could find his whole network.

I’m sure that the possible uses of this list could be expanded by more creative people than myself.

How To Rank For Viagra >> Web 2.0 User Submitted Pages Take Top Ten “buy viagra” SERPs!!

Just when we thought Google’s “trust” rank was dead, everyone is grabbing valuable real estate in the “buy viagra” SERPs; in fact, the top ten are all user submitted pages!

Here’s a shot of the current top SERPs for “buy viagra”:

How’s it work?
1. Find a site that allows user input, such as, a forum, a video upload site, a image storage/display site, or a profile in a community site. Anywhere that YOU can control the page.

2. Check the PageRank of that site’s homepage. You are looking for a minimum of PR6.

3. Verify that the PageRank can flow from the homepage to the user’s pages. Usually there will be list of categories or a membership list. In some cases, where there is no “list”, the site showcases a few members on the homepage. In these cases, you need to check if you can vote, favorite, add as a friend, or “watch” those front page members. There MUST BE links connecting the site’s homepage to the user pages! AND, those links MUST pass the PageRank, (no nofollow attribute in the links). This takes some digging, but if you skip this step you could waste a shitload of your time.

4. Register, verify, and edit your page. On some sites, you can put your affiliate link in LARGE BOLD LETTERS. Other pages only allow some normal sized text and just a place to put your homepage URL, which should be the site that you want users to click through to.

5. Promote your new parasite page!

Here’s today’s parasite example. This parasite page has about 7,000 backlinks showing in Yahoo Explorer (YE), but my guess is that, in reality, it has many, many more.

I am not suggesting that you target “buy viagra” or any other pharmacy niches. They are extremely competitive. In the “buy viagra” biz, you might need about 50,000 to 100,000 backlinks (assuming they are all like guestbooks or whatever). And you will need a second parasite waiting in the background because your first will most likely be reported for spam and deindexed by Google, or deleted by the parasite host.

However, consider using the above technique on something like “cheap airfare to hawaii” or maybe “best hair loss product reviews” or “how to pick up girls”. :D

Blackhat Software Advertised on www.webmasterforums.com

Did you know that www.webmasterforums.com, has a forum titled: Blackhat SEO?

I believe it’s a sign of the times. Whitehat forums discussing blackhat techniques. Oddly though, at the largest and oldest blackhat forum, Syndk8.net, the blackhat masters are more and more often integrating whitehat on-page techniques.

Blackhatters are not those that break all the rules, they are those that do what works dispite what the search engines want them to do.

The Japanese say that business is war. Therefore, if you are trying to make from the search engines, the search engines are your enemy. You can not give your enemy more information than is necessary and you certainly can not do what your enemy dictates.

Anyways, on the blackhat seo forum of webmasterforums.com, the member tweettornado is advertising his web based Twitter service.

He claims it does miracles. Haha! Don’t they all?

He is offering a free 24 hour trial. Whoopie!

After that, here are his prices:

“Also, after your free trial there is a monthly charge if you want to keep it. I am offering the first 50 copies at just $49.99 monthly. After that I will be charging between $99.99 and $999.99 per month, I haven’t decided yet.”

“This software is so powerful I am limiting access to only 500 copies ever!”

 

Hmmm, he seems a bit fickled about the final prices: somewhere from 100 to 1,000 dollars?

Can’t decide?

Hmmm.

How did he write all that code, but now can not decide on a price?

A bit of irony is pointed out nicely by Jeperry, the only reply in tweettornado’s thread:

“But according to me you should make a page and use this software to bring traffics from twitter ……… I think you can get lots of money.”

In other words, if his tool is so great at getting traffic from Twitter, why is he spending his time advertising it in a forum?

I’m not sure I trust this guy at all.
